Remember that time you didn't ask that chick out?
We all know what it’s like to be in our comfort zone. I’ve been there, you’ve been there. It’s a place where things are familiar, predictable, and safe. But let me tell you something: there’s nothing worse than the regret of not pushing yourself, of not taking the leap when you knew you should have.
If you were born a natural extrovert, congratulations. You have an edge in social situations. But the chances of you being a naturally gifted speaker without any training or experience is about as likely as Elon Musk suddenly keeping his thoughts to himself and not launching Twitter rants that tank Tesla’s stocks.
To put it into perspective: imagine you're in a job where you’ve been for years, and you’re comfortable. You know the work, you know the people, and the paycheck comes regularly.
But at the same time, you know you could do more. You could make more. But stepping out of that job to start your own business, or investing in something new is uncomfortable.
That feeling is valid, we are humane. We should be scared, what if we failed? The better question you should ask yourself is: What if I don't try at all?
